Amisfield Central Otago Pinot Gris 202122 750ml 94100 Excellent  Cameron Douglas MS Amisfield Winery is based in Pisa while its beautiful cellar door shop and restaurant overlook Lake Hayes just outside of Queenstown This winery makes a more diverse range of whites than most in Central Otago and the Pinot Gris is a lightbodied refreshing expression of this white grape from a cool climate Spice fresh fruit and a long finish all make this an extremely good quality Pinot Gris A wide picking window allowed us to pick some fruit early which presented a juicy and crunchy pearred apple profile showing minerality coupled with bright acidity A later pick saw concentrated poached pear with a touch of ginger and spice from a portion of barrel fermentation to add depth of flavour A beautifully pure yet complex pinot gris Alc 138
